Fitz Consulting is a Christchurch-based commercial property advisory and project delivery firm focused on strengthening, improving, and repositioning commercial buildings.

Founded after the Christchurch earthquakes, we help owners, investors, landlords, and occupiers make clear decisions around complex property issues, including acquisitions, seismic strengthening, compliance upgrades, renovations, distressed assets, and tenant-specific building solutions.

We specialise in buildings that are tired, vacant, earthquake-prone, non-compliant, difficult to lease, or no longer aligned with an owner’s long-term plans.

Our role is to assess risk, identify opportunity, create practical upgrade pathways, and manage projects from early feasibility through to completion — helping turn problem buildings into productive commercial assets.

With more than 15 years of construction, project management, and commercial property experience across New Zealand and North America, Paul brings a practical owner-side perspective to complex building challenges. His experience spans post-disaster reconstruction in Florida, seismic strengthening projects in Christchurch, and commercial property improvement strategies for owners looking to protect value, reduce risk, and unlock better outcomes.

Paul works with owners to assess building condition, understand upgrade requirements, estimate project costs, manage consultants and contractors, and evaluate whether to fix, strengthen, lease, reposition, or sell. His approach is independent, commercially minded, and focused on helping owners avoid costly mistakes before committing to a major project or transaction.
